bit late to say this but...this arc makes me mad, i wanted to make a rant for some time and i think i will do it right now. First off, i am enraged at the fact that so many coincidences happened to the straw hats to paint them in a bad light for the fishmen that if i were to talk about it it would take too long so i will just point out the major ones: so apparently the future woman (forgot name) 's visions are so garbage that she cant even tell who would destroy the island but only notices that this person has a straw hat, even tho she predicted major events like the great pirate era and the marineford war...also vander decken has a straw hat but no one seems to care. Also also the timing of which hordy decided to take over the kingdom convienently matches up with the day the straw hats reunited and went to fishman island...any other day would have been a breeze but no, it had to be today. not to mention that mud man who has been kidnapping mermaids just because some stupid ass girls thought there would be treasure(????????) in a random barrel that was around when the straw hats crashed, that is extremely dumb and im surprised oda even introduced this character just for him to do this and nothing else (so far). Another thing that makes me mad is the existence of the drugs that are just here with no explanation and they just made hordy 500 times stronger, why not make him originally strong and not rely on this random shit? also one thing i forgot to mention is how the straw hat got separated immediatly (of course) and how none of them have done anything so far except for luffy. this arc doesnt make sense to me and its probably my least favourite so far even topping thriller bark. the one thing i liked were the backstories of the princess and the sun pirates, those make sense and i can see why fishmen hate humans but everything else is kinda ridiculous. Man that is so negative Hody is strong that amount of drugs would easily kill the normal person. Also this is a story if you use your imagination it actually makes sense for example Hody found out about Wander decker powers and found a evil way to use it to invade the palace it worked and because the palace was already in chaos the plan worked that's called a coincidence that works in the favor of the bad guy. Also the barrel makes complete sense because of human curiosity. Only thing I agree with you I show did they get these drugs and who made them I was just thinking about that this episode

Power crep, if they make Hordy strong then his power will somehow be more than Arlong and Jimbei who are one of the strongest for no apparent reason. I like how they need to rely on drugs to get power and other advantages, the timing matches because the world Summit is drawing close and the country was already in chaos because of the Straw hat incident which was really convenient for them.

agreed, having 2 years gone without them, many of the strawhats seems to change for the better, dk about sanji but they still seem well, but once they were to reunite, they had imposters, the pacifistas chasing them alr, then trouble underwater with a kraken but then taming it after then having it to be scared and then get separated, then almost getting caught for illegal entrances then being blamed for future shit that she cant even tell who is it, then finding was invited to the palace then was attacked then luffy was "lost" having him to end up with the crybaby princess, then after that having to be blame for kidnapping her then hachi being hurt again then storytime then fight again.
Also the strawhats say they want to help luffy, then what are they doing? they are not helping, sometimes they dont know what they are doing wrong in this arc which pisses me off, ik its underwater and stuff and its cool but think about the situation you guys are in man, right now i dont get why jimbei dont wanna let luffy fight hordy, ik he's like 1000 times stronger now but luffy has 2 years to train to be even stronger, and if jimbei also helped luffy fight him then i think yeah sure this may work but in that 3 hours time they try to fight each other and not to fight that one person who's going to destroy this place, but welp, this is my reply coz im pissed as well, this was even worse then the long ring long land arc so yeah coz that arc was not my favourite

90% of your criticism can be applied to any one piece arc. crocodile carried out his plan exactly when the straw hats were there. wapol came back when the straw hats were there. & enel. etc. I can’t remember more than 2 arcs where the strawhats didn’t get separated until the final moment. also there have already been so many unexplained things in the series. i understand why this arc can be a little boring, but if your criticisms really bothered you I don’t get why you are so far into the series
